Account Executive

This position supports Rhodeco Rubber’s business by developing new accounts and sales in an assigned territory and providing final set up, approval, and customer service for assigned accounts. The company is engaged in the highly competitive business of designing, manufacturing, engineering, marketing, selling and delivering molded rubber parts, assemblies, and services to industries such as Automotive, Appliance, Material Handling, Industrial Machinery, Oil & Gas and many others.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and develop assigned accounts by telephone and personal visit. Solve any problems with the customers from pricing and quotations to technical. Sustain thorough knowledge of all products sold and or manufactured by Rhodeco Rubber.
• Negotiate local, regional, or national contracts with customers.
• Develop marketing ideas, trade shows, advertising, catalogs and surveys as needed. Attend trade shows and customer functions to assure partnerships are developed. Remain current with the market and competition in relation to trends in demand and pricing.
• The Account Executive will work with inside sales associates, engineering, and manufacturing to assure customer satisfaction in all areas.
• The Account Executive will perform product and installation training at customer sites or at Rhodeco Rubber.
• Conduct training and product presentations to distributors, customers and engineering firms.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the President or General Manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical or mechanical background, education, or related job experience is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, mechanical/engineering drawings, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Presentation skills, public speaking, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook. Simple drawing review. Ability to effectively use and read tools including micrometers, verniers, scales, tape measures, and torque wrenches. Proficient in metric/SI designations. Ability to sketch flange arrangements, measure flanges, and record dimensions.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Driver license required. Ability to maintain an acceptable driving record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time; use hands and fingers to handle small objects, or feel objects, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to look at the computer screen for extended periods of time, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift up 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work conditions may generally consist of a local office, outside calls, mobility and travel in year-round weather permitting conditions. Significant driving times and distances are part of this position. Travel is required. Travel within and out of assigned territory. May require visiting/performing work at customer locations such as manufacturing plants.
